*PUPPIES DUE SPRING/SUMMER 2012!* Before being considered for a puppy from us, please fill out and e-mail us a puppy questionnaire. We will review the puppy questionnaire and contact you shortly thereafter. All puppies are health and temperament guaranteed on contract and will be registered with the AKC. Vaccinations and de-worming will be up-to-date and all puppies will receive a health exam by a Veterinarian prior to leaving our home. Shipping is available in the USA and to some places overseas as well at the buyer's expense. We follow a very particular socialization protocol which may be viewed here. All
litters are Aptitude
Tested at 49 days and will provide results upon request for
each puppy.
We use the Bio-Sensor method on all of our litters (also known as the Super Dog Program). Limited
availability on picks from this breeding (deposits
are recommended),
If you are interested in a puppy from us, please remember most or all of our puppies find homes well before they are even born or shortly thereafter. Once in a while, we will let our first pick puppies go to new homes, sometimes outright or sometimes as a co-ownership. If you are seriously interested in a Mt. Brier puppy, please view our planned breedings page or contact us for more information.

Be sure to note that this breed is prone to hip dysplasia / elbow dysplasia, congenital heart defects and ataxia. When buying an AmStaff or APBT ask for each dog's OFA hip/elbow # (unless the dog is PennHIP'd for hips) and cardiac #'s (done by a board certified cardiologist only) and check to be sure it is actually listed in the OFA database. Also ask to for the dog's Ataxia test # (from Optigen or Antigen). Make sure that the puppy you purchase is fully health and temperament guaranteed itself as well on contract. We guarantee the health and temperament of our puppies for their LIFETIME, not for just one or two years (refer to our Contract & Guarantee for details). We personally check our breeding stock for more than just hip dysplasia and congenital heart defects (by a board certified cardiologist - not a vet) with OFA even if what is being screened for is not neccisarily a major health problem in our particular breed - just to be absolutely sure that our dogs are truly sound. We aim to produce the healthiest dogs we can. There are NO bloodlines out there that are 100% free of health issues and any breeder who claims to have such a line is not being honest. Without health testing there is no way to know if a dog is truly sound and healthy, simply because a dog acts or looks healthy does not necessarily mean the dog is really, truly sound.
Please remember that owning a dog is a lifetime commitment The Cost of Breeding the Right Way. Would you like to join our mailing list for info on current litters, available puppies & adults? Please e-mail us here with the subject line "Join Puppy Mailing List" and please include a description of what you are looking for in a puppy or an adult. |

Please Read Carefully & Understand Before We breed our AmStaffs to the American Kennel Club standard and our APBT's to the United Kennel Club standard with temperament being our number one priority, followed closely by sound health, and then by correct structure, breed type & movement. We observe our puppies most carefully, and also conduct certain temperament and aptitude tests at the appropriate times. We are focused on producing excellence, with a keen appreciation of the AKC (AmStaff) breed standard's request of - "The American Staffordshire Terrier should give the impression of great strength for his size, a well put-together dog, muscular, but agile and graceful, keenly alive to his surroundings. He should be stocky, not long-legged or racy in outline. His courage is proverbial." Pedigrees are studied at length; we investigate the history of both the stud and bitch with regard to temperament, health, bite, structure, longevity, color, title (prefix/suffix) details, and other information. Puppies are often times sold by the time of or shortly after birth (not available to go to new homes until 8 weeks of age), so it is advised that if you wish to purchase a puppy from an upcoming litter please complete and send us a Puppy Questionnaire, then contact me by phone (509) 216-3528 or drop me an e-mail. A non-refundable deposit of $300.00 which is deducted from the purchase price is required to hold a puppy of a certain pick (picks are made in the order that deposits are received). If you are approved for a puppy from us we will then accept your deposit, but please read Deposits & Payments before sending it. Within 1 week of breeding half of the purchase price is due (minus deposit) and the other half is due when the puppies reach 6 weeks of age, or the seller reserves the right to place or keep the puppy. If you place a deposit after the breeding has taken place, then half of payment (minus deposit) is due within no later than 1 week of birth. Any payments made are non-refundable, no exceptions of any kind will be made. Any payments made for shipping, crate, or health certificate are not refundable but may be transfered to another available puppy or breeding if need be. We have different terms for payment if you are outside of the USA. Pricing will not be determined until puppies are evaluated at 5-7 weeks of age - pricing is $1000-$3000 (first picks of the litter are $2000-$3000, and are rarely ever available), show prospects start at $1500 and pet quality starts at $1000.00. In the event we have to keep your puppy over the age of 8 weeks, we charge a $10.00 per day boarding fee (for feed, houseing, teaching basic household manners, "puppy preschool" socialization class etc.), this is due prior to the date the puppy is shipped or picked up (we will NOT ship or allow pick up until this is received). Ear cropping is available at an additional $380.00 if desired by the new owner. AKC registation papers will be mailed to the new owner within 14 days of shipping the puppy. We do not put any sort of paperwork on the crate when we ship a puppy as we have had it lost before by the airline. We reserve the right to refuse sale to any person at any time, without giving a reason. Our puppies are raised exclusively in-doors (with outside playtime once vaccinated) with hands on socialization from day one. All potential buyers are screened throughly prior to placement with the intention of placing each puppy in the most suitable home. We are not responsible for any veterinary bills, travel expenses or any other charges incurred once the puppy or adult is transferred into the buyer's possession. Shipping is available in the USA for those who cannot pick up their puppy in person and we do ship to other countries (we have dogs over in Belgium, Sweden, Spain and Puerto Rico). Please contact your local airline for pricing and flight arrangements if you live outside of the USA. All puppies and adults are sold with a written contract and health/temperament guarantee for their lifetime. Spay/neuter and non-breeding contracts are required on all pet quality puppies or adults with no exceptions of any kind. Referances are always available (including our Veterinarians). We ask that new owners stay in touch with us about their puppy - we are always willing to answer any questions for the lifetime of your dog & love to get updates/pictures of them thoughout their life with you!
