$4446.75+ |
If you
ever thought that breeding responsibly will get you rich, you thought
wrong.
The average
litter here at Mount Brier costs $4446.75,
and that is only for a small litter of puppies (5 or less).
Though our
puppies are sold for anywhere from
$500.00-$1000.00, we still rarely, if ever, break even per litter.
A quality bred
puppy certainly does not come cheap.
We did not
include the cost of registering a litter, extra visits to the Veterinarian,
or cost of Artificial Insemination if natural breeding was not possible.
